  1. I can see that I no longer need to look at buying a Panasonic camera since you do not plan to support any of the expensive Lumix G series lenses I already own. So unlike my last two cameras, my next one will be from a competitor since I see no reason to replace lenses that already have built in stabilization.

    1. Which lenses in particular are you referring to? We value the input from our community and will be happy to forward comments and concerns on to our team for review.

  2. I’m the owner of GX8 and I have a legacy lens, 45-200mm. I’m slightly disappointed that there’s no update for this particular lens but I understand there’s no way to support all the old products with newer technology. However, I do want to know if Panasonic will support/update the following lens.

    Panasonic LUMIX G LEICA DG SUMMILUX 15mm / F1.7
Panasonic H-X025 Lumix G Micro 4/3 LEICA DG SUMMILUX 25mm f/1.4 Leica Aspherical Lens

    1. We understand the disappointment with the 45-200. With regards to the 15mm summilux, 25mm summilux, and 25mm f/1.7, these lenses do not have optical stabilizers. The dual is in the GX8 combines optical and sensor stabilization to increase its effectiveness. When using these lenses, you will only be utilizing the in body stabilization. Thus, no firmware will be required.

We hope this clears up your concerns.
